PURPOSE:
To present the Recreation Parks and Cultural Affairs Master Plan for Fork Creek Mountain Park and request approval of the plan
NEED/IMPACT:
The master plan for Fork Creek Mountain Park provides connectivity throughout the park, mitigates impact to the site due to stormwater, and increases the level of recreation opportunity at the park. Based on input received from the County staff and citizen input via public input meetings, the following amenities were considered priorities for considerations in the implementation of the Fork Creek Mountain Park master plan:
• A network of trails and parking areas to enhance security, connectivity and visibility for the public
• Playground Area
• Agricultural Interpretive Facility
• Fishing Pond
• Community Garden
• Education Activity Center Building
• Outdoor Classrooms
• Interpretation of the park’s archaeological context
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to 2019 budget
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the RPCA master plan for Fork Creek Mountain Park; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents for the completion of the project.
