PURPOSE:

The mobile command bus will be used to provide mobile and on-site platforms for command, control and communications during terrorist attacks, natural disasters, special security events and other similar occurrences. The mobile command vehicle augments the capabilities of the 911 dispatch and call center. The current mobile command vehicle was purchased in 2006 and has reached the end of its life span. It is often in the repair shop and not available for deployment.

Recommend approval to piggyback off the competitively let US Communities Contract No. 128867 with:

 

Farber Specialty Vehicles, 7052 Americana Parkway, Reynoldsburg, OH 43068

 

Amount Not To Exceed:  $925,015.00
