Consists of piggybacking off the competitively-let US Communities Contract #128867 (Emergency and Specialty Vehicles, Equipment and Accessories and any Related Equipment, Supplies or Services), Lead Agency - Port of Portland, OR to purchase one (1) mobile command vehicle to be used for special security events and other similar occurrences in which the communications infrastructure is inadequate or has been disrupted. Awarded to Farber Specialty Vehicles. Amount Not To Exceed: $925,015.00.

PURPOSE:
The mobile command bus will be used to provide mobile and on-site platforms for command, control and communications during terrorist attacks, natural disasters, special security events and other similar occurrences. The mobile command vehicle augments the capabilities of the 911 dispatch and call center. The current mobile command vehicle was purchased in 2006 and has reached the end of its life span. It is often in the repair shop and not available for deployment.

Amount Not To Exceed: $925,015.00
