PURPOSE:
Awarded on June 1, 2016 for an amount not to exceed $50,000.00. On May 9, 2017, the BOC approved the 1st renewal in the amount of $75,000.00. On May 22, 2018, the BOC approved the 2nd renewal in the amount of $75,000.00. This request is to ratify a portion of Purchase Order No. 1158474 to pay outstanding invoices for work performed prior to expiration of Statewide Contract (SWC) No. 90801. The additional funding was needed due an increase in the number of new hires. Services are currently being procured as open market purchases and a new piggyback off a competitively let contract is currently in the due diligence phase to ensure that a new contract is in place for future background checks.

2. Justification: The services were used for the provision of background
investigations for candidates for potential County
employment. In 2018, there was an increased need for the
services and additional funding is needed to pay all
invoices for services provided prior to the contract
expiration.
