PURPOSE:
To consider a contract with the City of Chamblee in an amount not to exceed $150,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for ADA and park improvements for Village Park located at 3375 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341.
NEED/IMPACT:
The BOC approved the update to the 2014-2018 Consolidated Plan including the 2018 Annual Action Plan, on July 24, 2018, which allocated CDBG funding to the City of Chamblee to enable completion of this renovation project that will make Village Park more accessible for individuals and families with disabilities. CDBG funds will be leveraged with additional City funds to complete the renovation work to make the park more accessible.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no Fiscal Impact to the County.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve a contract with the City of Chamblee in an amount not to exceed $150,000 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds for ADA park improvements at Village Park located at 3375 Chamblee Dunwoody Road, Chamblee, GA 30341; and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to sign all necessary documents.
