Resolution to Remove One Appointee and Appoint a New Board Member to the East Metro Community Improvement District (CID)

PURPOSE:
To remove Mrs. Jennifer Parker as an East Metro CID Board Member and appoint Mr. Devon Hudson.
NEED/IMPACT:
Pursuant to the Community Improvement District Act or 2008, as amended, DeKalb County is responsible for appointing two people to a community improvement district (CID) board when a CID is wholly located within unincorporated DeKalb County and one person when a portion of a CID is located within a City. Previously, the DeKalb County governing authority appointed two people to the East Metro CID board because the East Metro CID was located entirely within unincorporated DeKalb County. With the creation of the City of Stonecrest in 2016, a portion of the East Metro CID boundary is now located within the City of Stonecrest. This resolution will appoint one of the county appointees to the East Metro CID Board (Devon Hudson) and remove one appointee (Jennifer Parker).

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents. This Resolution also expresses the County’s sincere appreciation for Mrs. Jennifer Parker’s service on the East Metro CID Board.
