PURPOSE:
To accept a grant of $4,680 from F M Global to purchase pre-incident planning software. The awards are typically used to assist with fire prevention activities in the community, to help educate the community, and reduce the number of fires. Fire Rescue will be utilizing this grant to enhance our prevention efforts by purchasing Inspection Software.
NEED/IMPACT:
Through its Fire Prevention Grant Program, FM Global awards grants to fire departments-as well as national, state, regional, local and community organizations worldwide-that best demonstrate a need for funding, where dollars can have the most demonstrable impact on preventing fire, or mitigating the damage it can quickly cause. The software will enable the Fire Department to deploy to fire incidents in a more efficient manner.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the county.

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
