PURPOSE:
This request is to replace outdated equipment in the A/V control room and everything that it distributes to at the Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center.
The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center has been open for 10 years. The equipment that was placed in the center at that time has served its purpose and has unfortunately become outdated. There have been various issues with clients where the equipment was not compatible to serve their needs given the modernization of technology. As part of having outstanding service delivery, we need to consider making the center compatible with today’s technology standards.
NEED/IMPACT:
The equipment is outdated and therefore impacts the quality of service that the center is able to offer.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Commissioner Larry Johnson, District 3 is allocating $75,000 towards assisting with replacing the A/V equipment.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend that funds in the amount of $75,000 be approved and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents and contracts for the completion of the project.
