PURPOSE:
•To consider approving Jupiter Entertainment, LLC and Discovery Communications, LLC’s use of DeKalb County’s locations, nomenclature, and/or symbols; and
•To consider providing permission for Jupiter Entertainment, LLC and Discovery Communications, LLC to film the series “In Pursuit with John Walsh”; and
•To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
The filming of “In Pursuit with John Walsh” will track down fugitives on the run and help find missing children. The appropriate locations, symbols, and/or nomenclature are needed to enhance the shows authenticity and to request information from the public who may have additional information regarding criminals and cases involving missing children. Photographing, filming, and scene recording will include various locations throughout the County, to include the DeKalb County Police Department headquarters and precincts.
