PURPOSE:
Pursuant to 13A of the Organizational Act where “The chief executive shall nominate a person by sending a written notice to the commission,” CEO Thurmond is nominating Dr. Tyler Reynolds for appointment to the DeKalb County Hospital Authority (DCHA). He will be filling a vacant seat with the term beginning on October 1, 2019 and expiring on September 30, 2023.
NEED/IMPACT:
The DeKalb Hospital Authority (DCHA) works to promote the general health and welfare of the community and to oversee compliance by Emory Decatur Hospital (f/k/a DeKalb Medical). Dr. Reynolds is a general surgeon and member of Emory Decatur Hospital (f/k/a DeKalb Medical) staff. He is currently serving as chief of surgery and has previously served as a physician in the United States Air Force.
