PURPOSE:

To approve an amendment to the Board of Commissioners’ Standing Procedural Rules. This amendment is intended to correct a scrivener’s error. The Rules need a small amendment to align the public hearing instructions read by the Clerk at each meeting with the 2019 amendments, which require staff recommendation to be presented first during public hearings of zoning and traffic calming items.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Updates to the public hearing instructions found in Section IV(11) of the Standing Procedural Rules were inadvertently omitted during adoption of the 2019 amendments. Approval of this amendment will correct the resulting inconsistency. 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the revised Standing Procedural Rules in the form attached hereto and defer to the next meeting for the second adoption.
