PURPOSE:
Consists of program management and provision of congregate, shelf-stable and home-delivered meals for seniors to replace the current contract for a period of six (6) months while the new procurement and contract award is complete. These meal services are provided to over 800 seniors, who continually receive the meals which meet federal and state mandated nutrition regulations. Failure to provide these meals to the impacted seniors pose a severe risk to their well-being and continued funding for the County’s aging services.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
1. Funding: ARC Grant (HS)
2. Justification: Impacts a material loss of essential government services provided to the seniors who depend on meals from the County. If not approved, seniors could go without nutritious meals posing a risk to their health and well-being.
