PURPOSE:
To accept the benefits, terms and conditions of the 2018 Assistance To Firefighters Grant from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security. The grant is to be used for the purchase of contractual services related to cancer screening for firefighters. The amount of the award is $181,045.45. The grant requires a 10% match of $18,104.55. The proposed period of performance will be from 9/3/19 to 9/2/20.
NEED/IMPACT:
The grant will enable Fire Rescue to screen firefighters for cancer and other health related issues.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Grant Funds Match. Not to exceed $18,104.55 over the one year term of the grant.
