CO - Change Order No. 1 to Contract Nos.: 1128328 and 1128997 for Phase One SPLOST Road Resurfacing Project (365 Day Contract): for use by Public Works - Roads and Drainage (R&D). These contracts consist of patching, milling, leveling and resurfacing of roads. This request is to extend both contracts term to February 7, 2020 and increase the contract amount of CPA 1128328 to allow for completion of 2018 LMIG Road Resurfacing. Awarded to Pittman Construction Company and C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. Amount Not To Exceed: $1,596,388.76.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on September 25, 2018 for a total amount not to exceed $34,331,532.86. C.W. Matthews Contracting Co., Inc. was awarded Area A (CPA 1128997) for an amount not to exceed $12,955,725.38. Pittman Construction Company was awarded Areas B & C (CPA 1128328) for an amount not to exceed $21,375,807.48. Due to weather delays and utility conflicts, the list of roadways will not be complete by the end of the current contract terms. In addition, a portion of the roads not completed under expired Contract No. 1122348 2018 LMIG Road Resurfacing Projects (365 Day Contract) (also awarded to Pittman Construction Company) will be completed under, and SPLOST funding re-appropriated to, CPA 1128328. This request is to extend the contract terms to February 7, 2020 to allow for completion of the paving of designated roadways for Phase One SPLOST Road Resurfacing Projects and to increase the contract amount of CPA 1128328 to allow for completion of 2018 LMIG Road Resurfacing.
