PURPOSE:
To designate an amount not to exceed $80,000.00 from the designated services fund Reserve for Appropriation account to purchase a 30 - seat shuttle bus for Bruce Street Senior Center. Currently, the Senior Center does not have a shuttle which the seniors at Bruce Street are able to use for various educational and recreational trips. At this time, rental costs are associated with obtaining transportation whenever needed by the Senior Center.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funding will allow the purchase of a new vehicle which would be used by the East DeKalb/Lithonia Senior Center as transportation. Currently, the Senior Center does not have a shuttle which the seniors at Bruce Street are able to use for various educational and recreational trips. At this time, rental costs are associated with obtaining transportation whenever needed by the Senior Center.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An amount not to exceed $80,000 from the designated services fund Reserve for Appropriation.

Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
