PURPOSE:
The Lyon Farm House is one of the oldest properties in DeKalb County. The property also houses a smokehouse on the property which has become dilapidated over the years. In an on-going effort to advance the restoration of the Lyon Farm Property in District 5, this agenda item will provide funding which will assist in restoring the smokehouse portion of the Lyon Farm Property.
NEED/IMPACT:
This property is a part of the Arabia Mountain National Heritage Area and is located directly on the PATH trail. This funding will help to further stabilize the property.

$100,000 from District 5 General Fund Reserve For Appropriation
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To record the designation of funding for restoration of the Lyon Farm Smokehouse and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
