PURPOSE:

To rescind official action on October 8, 2019 approving Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan, Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) Application, $69,000.00 (Item #2019-4249).

NEED/IMPACT:

On October 8, 2019, the County, by official action, voted to consider approving Pre-Disaster Mitigation Plan, Hazard Mitigation Grant Program (HMGP) application; to consider accepting $69,000 from the Georgia Office of Homeland Security and appropriating the Grant Fund along with the required match of $21,000 for spending in compliance with the grantor's requirements; and to consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.

The agenda item was premature, because the County has not yet been awarded the Hazard Mitigation grant. Should the grant be awarded, the item will be presented to the Board of Commissioners again for approval.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None
