MARTA Resolution Approving the Fifteenth Amendment to the Rapid Transit Contract and Assistance Agreement

PURPOSE:
The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (“MARTA”) has previously entered into the Rapid Transit Contract and Assistance Agreement (“RTCAA”) with the City of Atlanta, DeKalb, Fulton and Clayton Counties. MARTA and the local jurisdictions have previously made 14 amendments to the RTCAA as authorized by section 4(d) of the RTCAA. The 15th Amendment would amend the contract and Engineering Report to provide for certain changes to the Engineering Report, the collection of additional half penny and extension of time for the collection of the full one penny MARTA tax.
NEED/IMPACT:
To authorize the Amendment of the RTCAA through the approval of the attached Resolution.
FISCAL IMPACT:

Recommended Action
Approve the attached resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
