PURPOSE:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks the approval of the Board of Commissioners for the Zonolite Park master plan.
NEED/IMPACT:
The master plan for Zonolite Park outlines a project consisting of a 13.1 acre park area that includes trails, bridges, parking lot, sitting area, trailhead, community garden, irrigation and pavilion. It also provides passive recreation and educational opportunities in the community garden.
FISCAL IMPACT
No fiscal impact for the plan. Phase I development completed with 2001 Parks Bond funds and Park Pride grant totaling $100k; funding for other phases TBD
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the Zonolite Park master plan and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
