Quit Claim Deed - By and Between The City of Clarkston and DeKalb County

Body

Information Contact: Reginald Wells, Director, Department of Watershed Management

Phone Number: 770-621-7208

PURPOSE:

To relinquish the county’s interest in the existing sewer easement, which runs along a dam spillway within Milam Park.  In exchange, the county will obtain a new easement to install its sewer pipe asset that will be realigned with the parcel.

NEED/IMPACT:

Department of Watershed is relocating its sewer asset within Parcel ID 18-096-130-23.  The work is being completed through Design Build Consent Decree Package One (1).  Scope of work includes upgrading the sewer line from an 8” to a 12” pipe.

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact associated with this item.   The City of Clarkston is allowing the county to exchange the existing easement for the new realigned easement.

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Department of Watershed Management recommends approving the attached Quit Claim Deed for Land Lot 96 in a form acceptable to the County Attorney and allowing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents. The final recorded documents will be completed as necessary by Law.
