PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on January 8, 2019 for an amount not to exceed $1,943,913.00. This contract consists of providing road improvements to include approximately 0.9 miles of wheelchair accessible sidewalk, crosswalks, on-street parking, drainage improvements, landscaping, benches, trash receptacles and bike racks. These improvements will enhance the accessibility to MARTA bus routes 75 and 124, which service the area with stops along Main Street at First Avenue. This request is for additional funding and to extend the contract term for three (3) months to relocate water facilities that conflict with the project and asphalt patching of certain streets within the project limits.

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
CMES, Inc., 6555 McDonough Dr., Norcross, GA 30093
Amount Not To Exceed: $205,487.70
and authorize the CEO to execute the change order and all associated documents.
