PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC on March 27, 2018 for an amount not to exceed $1,853,600.00. On April 23, 2019, the BOC approved the 1^st renewal option for an amount not to exceed $1,800,000.00. This service is provided to treat the County's gravity sewer system with a chemical root control herbicide agent to help eliminate root growth present in the gravity sewer system without permanently damaging the vegetation producing the roots. These services part of the Consent Decree’s Maintenance Management System (MMS) to prevent sewer spills caused by root infiltration into the system. This request is to exercise the 2^nd renewal option.

Recommend approval to exercise the 2nd renewal option through May 31, 2021 with:

Duke’s Root Control, Inc., 1020 Hiawatha Boulevard West, Syracuse, NY 13204

Amount Not To Exceed: $1,800,000.00
