PURPOSE:

NEED/IMPACT:

Due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, as of March 1, 2020, the state of Georgia was determined a major disaster by the President of the United States. Approval to receive this grant will permit expeditious utilization of Disaster Recovery DWG funding to provide disaster-relief and humanitarian assistance employment and employment and training services for previously employed DeKalb County residents that have been adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The DWG allocation is $805,950.

The DWG funding will provide disaster-relief and humanitarian assistance employment and employment and training services 65 DeKalb County Dislocated Workers.

This action has been approved by the WorkSource DeKalb Board (WSDB).
