PURPOSE:

To fulfill the County’s need for a specialist who has the training, experience, and qualifications necessary to practice medicine in the specialty of emergency medicine, to supervise and direct emergency medical planning and oversight services as Medical Director, for the Medical Priority Dispatch System utilized by the DeKalb County E911 Center.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The agreement will enable the county to utilize the services and resources of The Emory Clinic, Inc. to meet the responsibilities of DeKalb County Medical Director for Medical Priority Dispatch.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Annual cost not to exceed $58,000, payable monthly at $4,883.33 per the contract.

To approve the agreement and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents for the Medical Director Agreement.
