PURPOSE:
DWM is requesting additional funding to GDOT P.I. No. 0013174 agreement the additional fire hydrants relocations SR 12 Covington Hwy and Young Road that is associated with Watershed Management in the amount of $8,510.00.
NEED/IMPACT:
The GDOT P.I. No. 0013174 agreement the additional fire hydrants relocations SR 12 Covington Hwy and Young Road in DeKalb County, Georgia. The Department of Watershed Management has existing utilities within the construction limits that are in conflict with the proposed work or need to be replaced due to age. Therefore, the County entered into a Contact Item Agreement with GDOT to include water and sewer installations/adjustments for the SR 12 Covington Hwy and Young Road Improvements project to prevent construction delays, minimized impact to adjacent property owners and the traveling public. The County has agreed to pay the cost of completing the work. This will ensure that there are adequate funds on this agreement to enable the contractor to continue working on our water and sewer installation/adjustments.
FISCAL IMPACT:

Approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents to Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) in amounts not to exceed the following listed amount, for water and sewer installation and adjustments associated with the following projects to complete these transactions: PI0013174 SR 12 Covington Hwy and Young Road total amount of $8,510.00
