PURPOSE:
To accept a Park Pride grant for capital improvements at Pendergrast Park and to transfer $147,500 from the 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account to the Pendergrast Park project account.
NEED/IMPACT:
Park Pride Atlanta has awarded DeKalb County Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department a Community Building Grant for capital improvements at Pendergrast Park. The grant will be part of a project to install a parking lot, infrastructure, and a new playground to initiate an active park. Total project cost is $240,000 with the following funding sources:
$50,000 Park Pride Grant
$10,000 Friends of Pendergrast Park
$147,500 2001 Parks Bond District 2
$32,500 RPCA
FISCAL IMPACT:
Estimated $32,500 to be funded from RPCA fiscal year budget

Recommended Action
To approve the resolution to accept the Park Pride grant for capital improvements at Pendergrast Park, to transfer $147,500 from the 2001 Parks Bond District 2 account to the Pendergrast Park project account, and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
