PURPOSE:
To appoint Kwasi Obeng to fill the vacant Chief of Staff position for the Board of Commissioners, DeKalb County Government, and approve the Employment Agreement.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Chief of Staff is a critical position, as it offers operational and strategic support to the BOC and direction to the central staff. The successful candidate has exceptional interpersonal and analytical skills, an understanding of the intricacies of government, and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with elected/appointed officials.

Recommended Action
Appoint Kwasi Obeng as BOC Chief of Staff by a majority vote of the BOC and approve the Employment Agreement.
