PURPOSE:
R.I.S.E. UP is designed to provide middle school aged young men residing in DeKalb County with weekly training, team building and networking activities. The Program will provide students residing in District 4 with a community of support and network to prepare young men to be leaders. The training curriculum is designed to meet the needs and interests of young men. Trainers and presenters include Office of Youth Services staff, DeKalb County's elected officials and community partners.
NEED/IMPACT:
Young men are exposed to various leadership skills, opportunity, and challenges, college and career readiness, current emerging economic, social, political, communal and culture issues affecting people in America, DeKalb County’s local programs and special events, a network of positive youth by providing fertile opportunities for them to interact on various cultural settings, Personal and Professional Decorum within our young men, and an appreciation for Business & Entrepreneurship.
