CO - Change Order No. 2 to Contract No. 1073854 Design Build Services Roof Replacement and Painting of Steel Ground Storage Tanks at Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant (Multiyear Contract): for use by the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). This contract consists of providing services to design; repair, demolish, and replace storage tank roofs; and complete interior and exterior painting of three (3) steel potable water ground storage tanks at the Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant. This request is to increase the scope of work, funding, and contract term to June 30, 2021 to allow for the completion of work. Awarded to Reeves Young, LLC. Amount Not To Exceed: $1,748,323.00.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on November 14, 2017 for an amount not to exceed $7,241,636.00. Change Order No. 1 was approved by the BOC on January 22, 2019 to add a work allowance in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00. This request is to increase the scope of work, funding, and contract term to allow for the unanticipated roof replacement of Storage Tank No. 1. Completion of this work will contribute to the increase in the volume of available potable water to the County's water system.

Recommend approval of Change Order No. 2 with:
Reeves Young, LLC, 25 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard, Suite 200, Gwinnett, GA 30518
Amount Not to Exceed: $1,748,323.00
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
