PURPOSE:

To consider approving a sublease with Thor Gallery at South DeKalb, LLC, of the property and premises located at 2901 Candler Road, Suite 66, Decatur, Georgia, as described and under the terms and conditions contained in the attached sublease; and

To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This sublease agreement enables the Tax Commissioner’s Office to operate a satellite location to service taxpayers living in the South DeKalb area. It affords DeKalb County businesses and residents in the area a more convenient option to pay their ad valorem taxes, and avoids overcrowding and significant wait times at the Memorial Drive location.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Rent will be $16.35 per square foot, per year, for each of the 5 years of the agreement.
