PURPOSE:

To consider approving an intergovernmental agreement between the County and Gwinnett County for Gwinnett County to provide fire protection and emergency medical services at 4600 Northeast Expressway, also known as 6945 Button Gwinnett Drive, which is located in the city of Doraville on the DeKalb County and Gwinnett County line and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The Intergovernmental Agreement outlines the terms of agreement whereby Gwinnett County will provide fire protection and emergency medical services at 4600 NE Expressway, Doraville, Georgia, also known as 6945 Button Gwinnett Drive. This intergovernmental agreement signifies a mutually beneficial, efficient and cooperative working relationship between the two governments.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no fiscal impact as the County will continue to receive its proportionate share of taxes for the parcel located within the County.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Adopt the attached Intergovernmental Agreement, dated August 14, 2020, in substantially final form; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents in connection with the Intergovernmental Agreement in a form acceptable to the County Attorney or her designee.
