PURPOSE:
To obtain Board of Commissioners approval and acceptance of a Park Pride grant of $42,000 for capital improvements at Lithonia Park
NEED/IMPACT:
The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs have received a grant from Park Pride Atlanta for $42,000 for capital improvements at Lithonia Park. The grant will be used to acquire and install additional fitness equipment and musical sensory equipment as a supplement to a play structure at Lithonia Park. Total cost of the project is $53,500 with the following funding sources:
Park Pride Grant $42,000
District 7 Parks Bond $10,000
Friends of Lithonia Park $1,500
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to the 2020 operating budget. $10,000 to be funded from District 7 Park Bond account

Recommended Action
To approve the resolution to accept a Park Pride grant of $42,000 for capital improvements at Lithonia Park and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
