PURPOSE:

To consider adopting the attached amended Resolution which, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic,
(1) provides for the rescheduling of some public hearing dates relating to the 2020 rezoning calendar,
(2) allows flexibility in the format of the public hearings relating to planning and zoning matters while traditional in-person meetings cannot safely be held during the pandemic, and
(3) provides for alternatives to in-person public hearings.

NEED/IMPACT:

Adopting this Resolution will support the continuation of planning and zoning matters despite the complications caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, by allowing for the rescheduling of some public hearing dates included in the previously adopted 2020 zoning calendar, allowing for the simultaneous satisfaction of the required Community Council hearings and pre-submittal application requirements, and providing for alternatives to traditional in-person public hearings.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None
