PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $400,000 from District 2 CARES Fund from POETA Account # 105424.63258.521209.01.02.602313 to support Rent, Mortgage, Utilities, Food, Extended Stay,Testing, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) assistance for those impacted by COVID-19 with a priority for residents of District 2.
NEED/IMPACT:
The funds are being appropriated to help the many residents and families within District 2 that have experienced job loss, reduced wages and require emergency assistance during the pandemic. The funding will be provided to Community Based Organizations (CBO) to help sustain the residents or families during this difficult period. DeKalb County Community Development will have oversight for the program management, administering and monitoring of the funds to the appropriate agencies.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The funding will come from District 2 CARES Fund from POETA Account # 105424.63258.521209.01.02.602313 and be appropriated to the following agencies:
