PURPOSE:

To consider purchasing land to construct a new fire station as identified in SPLOST Program Category 2A, Replace Existing Fire Station(s) and Construct New Fire Station(s) and Related Capital Equipment.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The Fire Rescue Department has identified Fire Station No. 27 as one of the New Fire Stations needed to adequately serve the county; it will also improve the ISO rating for this area of the county.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for all cost related to the purchase of land acquisition is identified in the SPLOST Program Category 2A.

To approve and authorize the Administration and SPLOST Program Team to negotiate the purchase of property on behalf of DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, land identify by Fire Chief Fullum of the Fire Rescue Department for the purpose of constructing a New Fire Station No. 27 located in unincorporated DeKalb County.
