PURPOSE:

Approve the acceptance of the donation of an easement at 1080 Moreland Industrial Blvd NE, 100 Donzi Lane and 2546 Donzi Lane from Preferred Materials, Inc. for the development of a pedestrian walking trail; authorize the County Attorney to proceed with closing the transaction upon the satisfactory completion of due diligence; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents.     

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The donation of an easement at 1080 Moreland Industrial Blvd NE, 100 Donzi Lane and 2546 Donzi Lane from Preferred Materials, Inc. will allow the development of a pedestrian walking trail that is planned to connect to the Atlanta Beltline. 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Cost of due diligence and acquisition.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

1) Accept the donation of an easement at 1080 Moreland Industrial Blvd NE, 100 Donzi Lane and 2546 Donzi Lane from Preferred Materials, Inc. in a form that is acceptable to the County Attorney; 2) Authorize the County Attorney to proceed to closing the transaction upon receipt of satisfactory completion of due diligence; and 3) Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents.
