PURPOSE:
To consider approval of the official retirement and sale of K-9 Indi to his handler for the sum of $1.00; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents.
NEED/IMPACT:
K-9 Indi began his service to the County in 2011. During the past 10 years Indi and his handler, Sgt.
Norman Larsen have performed exemplary work for the Police Department and the citizens of Dekalb County. Due to various health issues and concerns, he has reached a point in his career of retirement to his handler Sgt. Norman R. Larsen.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To transfer ownership of Indi at a cost of $1.00 to his handler.
