PURPOSE:
To consider committing $350,000 of 2017 SPLOST Funds from District 6 Category 1M - Commission District
Discretionary Fund for a Sagamore-Leafmore Trail Concept Plan and Design from South Fork Peachtree Creek
Trail at Mason Mill Park/North Druid Hills Road to Briarcliff Road near its intersection with Clairmont Road.
NEED/IMPACT:
This Sagamore-Leafmore Trail Concept Plan and Design will determine how safe bicycle and pedestrian
connections can be extended from the South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail at Mason Mill Park/North Druid Hills
Road northward to the Briarcliff-Clairmont Activity Center. It will provide the basic information necessary to
determine a feasible route and begin design to advance implementation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
SPLOST Funds: $350,000 from Category 1M from Commission District 6 Discretionary Fund
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To commit $350,000 of 2017 SPLOST Funds from District 6 Category 1M - Commission District Discretionary Fund for planning and design of a new pedestrian and bicycle connections extending from the South Fork Peachtree Creek Trail northward toward the Briarcliff-Clairmont Activity Center.
