PURPOSE:
Consists of the removal of the two different roof types (ballasted EPD and built up) and replace with new PVC flat roofing system, installation of new flashing and termination bars, drip edge at gutter edges, gutter and downspouts as required, and insulation to meet all current DeKalb County code and energy requirements. Alternate pricing was requested to remove skylights and infill openings at Fire Stations 18, 19 & 20 and is included in this request. Alternate pricing was requested to install hat channel and 24 gauge Kynar coated metal wall panels, counterflashing and coping at Fire Stations 4,6, and 25 was requested but determined not to be required. Note that SPLOST Category 2B funds in the amount of $851,723.20 were previously appropriated for roof replacements. Agenda Item No. 2021-2027 requests a reduction in the SPLOST appropriation for roof replacements so funds can be allocated to these projects. Two (2) bids were received.
