PURPOSE:
DWM is requesting additional funding to the GDOT M005992 agreement for resurfacing and water and sewer installation/adjustments associated SR13/Buford Hwy from Chamblee Tucker Rd to Gwinnett County Line for Watershed Management in the amount of $63,336. GDOT's original quote submitted to DWM dated January 21, 2020 stated the DWM portion being $81,100 however some items were omitted in the original agreement. Additional work was resubmitted for the resurfacing and water and sewer installation/adjustments associated with SR13/Buford Hwy from Chamblee Tucker Rd to Gwinnett County Line.

NEED/IMPACT:

The GDOT project M005992 resurface SR13/Buford Hwy from Chamblee Tucker Rd to Gwinnett County Line in DeKalb County, Georgia. The Department of Watershed Management has existing utilities within the construction limits that are in conflict with the proposed work and need to be adjusted. Therefore, the County entered into a Contract Item Agreement with GDOT to include water and sewer installations/adjustments for the SR13/Buford Hwy from Chamblee Tucker Rd to Gwinnett County Line project to prevent construction delays, minimize impact to adjacent property owners and the traveling public. The County has agreed to pay the cost of completing the work. This will ensure that there are adequate funds on this agreement to enable the contractor to continue working on our water and sewer installation/adjustments.
