This contract consists of extending the existing South River Trail approximately 2.2 miles from the Georgia State University Perimeter College Campus to Waldrop Road. PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on August 13, 2019 for a total amount not to exceed $3,885,998. This contract consists of extending the existing South River Trail approximately 2.2 miles from the Georgia State University Perimeter College Campus to Waldrop Road. The proposed 12-foot wide trail is mostly concrete, but it includes sections of wooden boardwalk and two steel truss bridges. This request is to extend the term of the contract to allow for the completion of work that was delayed due to COVID-19, weather delays and an emergency sewer line repair required within the project limits.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 to extend the contract through December 31, 2021 with:
Massana Construction, Inc., 115 Howell Road, Tyrone, GA 30290
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
