CO - Change Order 3 to Contract No. 1073854 Design Build Services Roof Replacement and Painting of Steel Ground Storage Tanks at Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant (Multiyear Contract): for use of the Department of Watershed Management (DWM). This contract consists of providing services to design; repair, demolish, and replace storage tank roofs; and complete interior and exterior painting of three (3) potable ground storage tanks at Scott Candler Water Treatment Plant. This request is to increase the contract term through December 31, 2021 to allow for the completion of work. Awarded to Reeves Young, LLC. CONTRACT TERM EXTENSION ONLY.

PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on November 14, 2017 for an amount not to exceed $7,241,636.00. On January 22, 2019, the BOC approved Change Order No. 1 to add a work allowance in an amount not to exceed $500,000.00. On September 22, 2020, the BOC approved Change Order No. 2 to increase the scope of work, contract term to June 30, 2021, and funding in an amount not to exceed $1,748,323.00. Due to the impact of the pandemic, labor and supply shortages of required roofing materials from steel mills have delayed completion of work. This request, to increase the contractor term, will allow the manufacturer the time to receive and install roofing parts needed to continue in the repair of the storage tanks. Completion of this work will contribute to the increase in the volume of available potable water to the County's water system.
