PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of $128,628.69 to Georgia Power for the repair of street lights along
Memorial Drive from Candler Road to Mountain Drive and at the Flat Shoals Road at I-285 interchange; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this
project.
NEED/IMPACT:
The theft of copper wiring has resulted in the loss of power to approximately 70 street lights along Memorial Drive and additional lights at the Flat Shoals Road at I-285 interchange. The proposed repairs will replace the stolen copper wiring with aluminum wiring that is less likely to be stolen.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Risk Management funding is covering the cost of these repairs.

Recommended Action
To authorize the payment of $128,628.69 to Georgia Power for repair of street lights along Memorial Drive from Candler Road to Mountain Drive and at the Flat Shoals Road at I-285 interchange; and
To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents pertaining to this project.
