PURPOSE:
To allocate funds from District 2 bond account 100592.80314.541200.05.600010 in the amount of $320,000 to fund the development of Pendergrast Park which includes grading, a parking lot, playground, retaining wall, bio retention area, site amenities, and landscaping.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Department of Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs has identified the additional funding needed [$320,000] for a development project at Pendergrast Park which includes the installation of a parking lot, playground, retaining wall, bio-retention area, site amenities and landscaping. This project is in coordination with the Friends of Pendergrast Park who received a grant from Park Pride in December 2019 for a portion of the playground installation cost. The project was originally approved by the BOC in July 2020 on item 2020-0790
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact on operating budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution to allocate funds from District 2 bond account 100592.80314.541200.05.600010 in the amount of $320,000 to fund the development at Pendergrast Park; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
