PURPOSE:

Awarded by the BOC on March 27, 2018 for an amount not to exceed $1,853,600.00. On April 23, 2019, the BOC approved the first renewal for an amount not to exceed $1,800,000.00.  On May 26, 2020, the BOC approved the second renewal for an amount not to exceed $1,800,000.00. This contract consists of providing sanitary sewer chemical root control for the sanitary sewer system as part of the Consent Decree’s Maintenance Management System (MMS). As part of the MMS requirements, sanitary sewer chemical root control inspections are to be performed on an ongoing basis within the wastewater collection and treatment system. Maintenance of root control is an effective tool to prevent the sanitary sewer from polluting nearby water sources. Root control enables DWM to monitor the assets and schedule maintenance and rehabilitation activites.  This request is to extend the contract term to December 31, 2021 to allow for re-solicitation and increase the contract amount by $900,000.00.
