PURPOSE:
Pursuant to Section 13A of the Organizational Act, CEO Michael Thurmond is nominating Commissioner Robert Patrick for service on the Development Authority of DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Development Authority of DeKalb County develops and promotes commerce, industry, and employment opportunities for the public good and general welfare of DeKalb County. It is imperative that the membership of the Development Authority of DeKalb County is enhanced with executives and leaders of DeKalb County so that this Authority’s purposes are effectively maintained and managed. As prescribed by O.C.G.A. § 36-62-5(a), the Governing Authority of DeKalb County, Georgia may appoint no more than one (1) member of the Board of Commissioners as a Director.
