PURPOSE:
To consider accepting $57,970.00 for the DeKalb County Veterans Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriating the amount to a new Grant Fund.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council has awarded $57,970.00 to the DeKalb County Veterans Court. Funding will be used toward annual conference training, psychiatric & nursing services, counseling services, housing, medication, drug testing & monitoring supplies, and transportation costs for program participants The grant period is from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022. The required cash match ($6,441) will be met through the Superior Court Operating and/or DATE Fund budget.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funding for all services provided by Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Grant in the amount of $57,970.00. Funding has to be spent by June 30, 2022, end of State FY 2022.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents. To accept $57,970.00 for DeKalb County Veterans Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriate the amount to a new Grant Fund.
