PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $100,000 from the America Rescue Plan grant funds assigned to the account
reserved for District 7 for marketing that encourages citizens who might otherwise not get the vaccine to get
vaccinated in an effort to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
NEED/IMPACT:
Marketing will be targeted at citizens in District 7 and DeKalb County who have not received a COVID-19 vaccination. The marketing will be designed to encourage such vaccinations to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To appropriate $100,000 from the American Rescue Plan grant funds for District 7 marketing to encourage citizens to take the COVID-19 vaccine.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
