PURPOSE:
To increase the fees for horse boarding services at Little Creek Horse Farm park.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks Board of Commissioners approval of the fee increase at Little Creek Horse Farm park. This will be the first fee increase since the park began operations. With the significant increase in expenditures over this period, the fee increase will allow LCHF to cover a larger portion of its operational cost. The monthly boarding fee will increase from $450 to $550, while the blanketing fee will remain at $40 per month. The following services have been provided at no charge, but the new fee schedule will now charge for these services: extra hay ($50/month), extra stall shavings ($6/bag), apply masks and bell boots ($25/month), trailer parking on site ($100/month). This new fee structure in comparative to other horse boarding services in the metro Atlanta area.
