PURPOSE:
To approve a resolution to appropriate Federal America Rescue Plan funds reserved for District 4 for the purposes of partnering with organizations in order to assist with housing insecurity, utility relief, food distribution and essential needs as defined by American Rescue Plan criteria for use not to exceed $175,000.00
NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb stakeholders servicing constituents have a need for financial support to provide essential resources and relief and support to DeKalb County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DeKalb Community Development Department will have oversight for the program management, and monitoring of the $175,000.00 in funding allocations to community organizations.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriation of an amount not to exceed $175,00.00 from POETA Account#105726-69110-521209-01-602476
to the following Community Based Organizations:
K.D. Moore Community Development Corporation-$50,000
100 Black Men DeKalb County Chapter-$50,000
Latin American Association- $75,000

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
