PURPOSE:

To approve a resolution to appropriate Federal America Rescue Plan funds reserved for District 4 for the
purposes of partnering with organizations to assist with housing insecurity, utility relief, food
distribution and essential needs as defined by American Rescue Plan criteria for use not to exceed $200.000.00

 

NEED/IMPACT:

DeKalb stakeholders servicing constituents have a need for financial support to provide essential resources and

relief and support to DeKalb County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DeKalb Community

Development Department will have oversight for the program management, and monitoring of the $200,000.00

in funding allocations to community organizations

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

DeKalb stakeholders servicing constituents have a need for financial support to provide essential resources and

relief and support to DeKalb County residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DeKalb Community

Development Department will have oversight for the program management, and monitoring of the $200,000.00

in funding allocations to community organizations:

 

Medcura Health- $100,000

Antioch AME CDC-$50,000

Project Transformation North Georgia- $25,000

DeKalb County Juvenile Justice Council - $25,000

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
